Dining at Kalyana Ubud was a culinary journey through the flavors of Bali. Each meal at the resort's restaurant, with its panoramic views of the jungle and river below, was a feast for the senses. We visited the Kalyana Ubud Resort for 5 nights and had a lovely time! The staff were very friendly, from pick up at the airport from Nova to the girls at breakfast and dinner. The reception staff were always so helpful and would book us a taxi (our drivers Putu and Komang were great). The hotel is not in the centre of Ubud (which we liked) and we were able to get a taxi to the city centre when needed. Our room (201) was beautiful, with a view of the rice field at Sacred Rice and had a large bathroom. We enjoyed the made-to-order banana pancakes in the morning and thought there was a good selection of dishes for dinner (especially as we are pescatarians). The resort had a nice spa and we had amazing Balinese massages (even if you do not get a treatment, walk to the spa as it overlooks some rice fields). We would recommend this hotel and would love to still be there now!

My wife and I spent 5 days at this wonderful boutique hotel hidden away from the main hustle and bustle that is Ubud. Our room, overlooking the divine pool, which is surrounded by a jungle setting, was spacious, super clean, cold, warm and hot water available at any time, and had the most comfortable mattress which must have been about 30cm thick. We slept like angels. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We got them to pick us up from the airport so we did not need to worry about that. Price was very reasonable. Just behind the hotel there is a massive rice field. No need to pay someone to drive you to see one. Through the hotel we rented a scooter (£5 a day) for a few days to just drive around and explore the area. It was super easy. All in all, we would definitely stay here again. We had such a good time.

The breakfast was average, but the pool villas looked stunning – definitely worth considering if you're looking to splurge. We opted for a pool-view room, which was comfortable, but not quite as luxurious as the villas. One highlight was the health spa, which offered excellent services with knowledgeable staff.
